Sam ๐ณ๐ฑ๐ฌ๐ง I think I have read somewhere that there needs to be a number on the card, but the Apple announcement has proven me wrong.
Roeshimi I was referring to Mastercard-cards. I don't know which payment scheme the Apple Card is on.
Sam ๐ณ๐ฑ๐ฌ๐ง Yes I was talking about the physical Apple Card, which is a MasterCard as well
Roeshimi Didn't know Apple Card was a Mastercard...
Hemmik Also titanium MasterCard would be welkome
Sam ๐ณ๐ฑ๐ฌ๐ง Now you know ;)
Seems like more banks might follow this lead: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-03-26/mastercard-sees-other-banks-ditching-card-numbers-like-apple-did
That card looks absolutely stunning!! Please make a card like that bunq๐คฉ
Bram this looks stunning out of the box; I'd be very interested if it looks good after a few days of actually using it... not sure that white will stay white for very long :)
Gerhard I have no idea, maybe the fact that the card is titanium makes it more durable? Letโs just hope that bunq creates a metal card instead of plastic ones, no matter the color๐
Bram Letโs get to the point where we only use Google/Apple Pay and get rid of the physical cards at all. For the time being use cards made out of the most sustainable/recyclable material available. Whatever this material might be.
Bernd (Hamburg) DE ๐ฉ๐ช Besides not having a card number printed on it, the Apple Card also does not have an expiration date. So it seems to be possible to have cards that don't expire.
Bernd (Hamburg) DE ๐ฉ๐ช We will send it back to bunq and there is a process to recycle it as good as possible. ๐๐
Roeshimi How does this work for all the online forms where you have to enter the expiration date of your card?
Roeshimi Stimmt. Aber meine Antwort bezog sich auf eine theoretische bunq-Karte
Phil We could send it by post, and if it didnโt arrive within 2 weeks we could ask them to wait a little longer ๐
Jeroen ๐ณ๏ธโ๐ I know as much about this card as you. Nobody has seen or used it, so we will have to wait until it's actually available. I would imagine that the expiration date is visible in the Apple Wallet and that you can view it there. Same as with Online Cards from bunq
Bernd (Hamburg) DE ๐ฉ๐ช Same story. bunq would then also not print the expiration date. That would make sense to me.
Roeshimi Genau so wurde es bei der Apple Prรคsentation gesagt
Bernd (Hamburg) DE ๐ฉ๐ช And I don't see why bunq would not be able to do that. I mean they have everything they need for that already in the app and infrastructure today. They could just let people choose to not have a card number printed on it in the "new card" procedure and everything would be ready. :) Ok they currently don't have that shiny metal card, but I would not need that anyway
