Idea: Virtual Maestro Card/ Mastercard

Ich habe mich für bunq registriert und bin mit der App sehr zufrieden. Leider fehlt mir jedoch die Möglichkeit andere Dienste wie Revolut oder Boon (Apple Pay) mit bunq zu verbinden, da die normale Maestro Karte nicht onlinefähig ist. Diese Möglichkeit ist jedoch essentiell, um bunq als Hauptkonto zu nutzen.

Daher wäre es doch eine gute Idee neben der klassischen Bunq Maestro Karte auch virtuelle Maestro Karten anzubieten. Damit nicht endlos Karten generiert werden, könnte man auch eine kleine einmalige Gebühr pro Karte nehmen.

It would be great to have this virtual debit card, similar to ABN Amro's Wallet (see it in Play Store) or Revolut's virtual debit cards that you can the use on your phone, and even select which account you want to use for each purchase!!! (hopefully I'm not repeating the previous posts ;))

I want this one too, and if possible with the option to create multiple virtual cards

also:

- budget limit for virtual card

- temporal virtual cards

- accept payment on specific days

- [insert your idea here]

In may case this is usefull for specific subscription services, that charge and amount every month but that can be hacked in and the attacker might get your card details, in this way paying online for good and services is a little more "safe", you know you account will not be drilled

Or a virtual credit card like we have in Portugal. When you have this, you can virtually pay everything online.

I can use my portuguese one for that so I don't need it. I got Bunq because of the maestro card and ideal so now I can pay everything I want to pay. But if you only have Bunq, a virtual credit card would make any other bank unnecessary.

Although many companies only want to pay to a national bank account like here in Portugal. The combo of my activo bank in Portugal and Bunq is perfect 😎

It seems this hasn't made it into the latest update. Is this idea being actively pursued? Instead of Maestro, one or more virtual Master or Visa cards for online shopping would be even better, if it can be done without raising the price for the Premium subscription.

I guess what Simon is proposing, link bunq to Revolut / boon is nothing more than top up these prepaid cards. This can be done already via bunq Mastercard. Just did this to check. There is no need for making Maestro ready for online payment. There are no online shops taking Maestro and no MasterCard. Mostly they don’t take Maestro for internet payments at all.

+1 for this, but I’d argue that something like what Revolut does would be enough.

Just a heads up - by law, IBAN discrimination is not allowed. Meaning as long as you have an EEA IBAN, it needs to be accepted everywhere.

Also, keep an eye out for ActivoBank fast transfers coming this month!
