Feature request - business and Directors...

Hi bunq-people and community,

BACKGROUND INFO:
Today I learned that when you have a bunq business account with more than one ‘Director’, no two Directors can be logged in at the same time. It was explained to me that this is done to assure that no two (duplicate) actions can take place (unwillingly). The way this is implemented is: as soon as a newer log-on is performed, whoever was logged-in first will be logged out within about a second.

SUGGESTION (feature request):
When someone is logged in on the account and someone else tries to log in, give the newer attempt a message (eg: Unable to log you in as <NAME> is presently logged in).
Additional functionality/feature: give the main owner of the business account the possibility to override this and force a log out of the other Director.

Fictional scenario I see happening now: a scammer gets access to my account, I notice unusual transactions (push notifications) and want to log in to reset my login code / change my PIN code etc. But, I can't log in, because the scammer is still logged in. 🙈

I'm not sure as I don't run a bigger business or something, but how often will this really occur? Will multiple directors be checking the accounts at the same time frequently? Can't you (just as a workaround) setup connects to a personal/free account to manage the money? And for more "configuration" stuff you can then use the actual Business login. 🤔

I think a better improvement would be to allow multiple logins, but only show that warning/blocks the feature (which owner can override, good suggestion) when you’re both trying to make a payment at the same time! That way, you never have issues logging in at the same time - but the app does still provide extra security in the transfer option to prevent duplicates. :)

Hi Sander,
Thanks for the suggestion, but why would I want a work-around when the ‘additional Director’ feature was built in by bunq - this is (or should be) exactly what it’s meant for precisely to avoid needing a workaround (for being able to manage the accounts with multiple people).

Stichting Opel Super Six yes absolutely agree, it is intended to easily let multiple people manage the account with their own credentials and such. I don’t think the direct aim is to let those multiple directors work in parallel, and as said, I don’t think many directors will bump into this (hence I asked whether you would bump into this frequently). If this only happens once a month (for instance) I’d personally rather see bunq spend their time on things that are higher up the list. But maybe I’m completely wrong in my assumption that it won’t occur frequently, then we will likely see some votes appearing on this topic., 😁👍

We ran into it three times in the past 4 days...
No idea if I should see that as ‘frequently’ but it is highly annoying, especially as you get no clue as to the reason you het logged-out.

I just found out today that two people can be ‘active’ on one account at the same time. When one user is active through a connect, another user can be logged in and also be active. Thus I conclude that the reason that was explained to me (to avoid duplicate actions) doesn’t seem to correct - or at least: is not avoided by logging out one Director as soon as another Director logs in.

I’m waiting for a further explanation by bunq (private message) and will post it here later on.

I did get a further reply on private matters. It is agreed that ‘protecting’ against duplicate actions cannot be the reason this is the way it functions.

Still the same! So this problem persists already for over a year? I got this problem since a few days and it is super annoying! Is there any news regarding this issue? I had extensive contact with support (super helpful and friendly) but they also didn’t know and find out by talk to dev support. Really annoying unfortunately
