The reason why for me it doesnât add value is this:
On your mobile you log in using a code or fingerprint. In order to log in to the Bunq app, you need an additional code or again a fingerprint.
Two factor authentication will most likely send you a push notification via mail/SMS on that same phone, probably even visible on a locked screen.
If someone has access to your phone, and also access to your Bunq account, for instance if you use the same code for Bunq as you use to unlock your phone, he/she will also have access to the push notification.
If you donât want that, youâll always have to carry a second phone or have access to a computer at the same time that you use Bunq on your phone.
If you use different codes to unlock your phone and to unlock your Bunq app, 2FA is overkill.
