Gerwin This card is a 'real' credit card. It even says so on the card.
I often go to the US for business and the debit card isn't always accepted. Luckily I also have a VISA creditcard from my other bank that I can use as a backup. You should be able to use this creditcard everywhere where creditcards are accepted*

There are some (online) merchants in the US that do not accept international creditcards. Luckily that number is declining fast!

Martijn Boomsma Zorg ervoor dat je een premium, business of pack account hebt en zorgt ervoor dat je de allerlaatste versie van de bunq app hebt. Ik heb deze handig via de play store moeten updaten en er staan nog 20 updates klaar. Maar ik had daarvan nog geen notificatie van Google gekregen..

Het is wel jammer dat de Bunq app zelf niet controleert of er inmiddels al een nieuwere versie is en daarvan een melding geeft zodra je de app opent.

Question: why wouldn’t everyone now just replaxe their mastercard with the travel card? You get a better card for the same price.

I don’t entirely understand what the function difference is between the bunq debit MasterCard and the bunq credit MasterCard. As far as I can see now, any purchases or reservations you make with the bunq credit card are directly taken from your account. This is exactly what happens with the debit card. So what is the exact difference?

Does the card simply accept more offline terminals?

René The difference is in cases such as rental cars or hotel rooms. The debit card cannot be used to block a certain amount by the rental company or the hotel. The travel card does offer this function. However in contrast to a „true“ credit card you need to have the funds in your account in advance.

Thomas Yep whenever you order a new card you need to. However if you replace a card for a new one being the exact same one just with newer "valid until" date they are free

Tim 🇳🇱🇬🇧 That's exactly what I thought. Why would I choose a 'normal' mastercard since the travelcard can do everything what the normal mastercard can + deposits support. Does this mean that the normal mastercard will disappear since it's kinda obsolete?

What steps do I need to take to replace my current bunq MasterCard debit card with the new bunq Travel Card, without any incurring cost. I just want to swap the current debit card with the new travel card, but I can't seem to find this option.

Jelle Met de MasterCard kan je geen auto huren of reserveringen doen, omdat het een debet kaart is. Met de TravelCard kan je wel deze reservering doen, omdat het geld op je rekening hiervoor wordt gebruikt.
