So you have a travel card with €200 on it.

You can send that €200 to your other bank, for when you're done with your trip. You can not send €35 to your other bank.

Ik dacht trouwens dat het in de EU niet meer is toegestaan om extra kosten te rekenen bij een credit card betaling sinds de invoering van PSD2. Heb ik dat verkeerd begrepen of vallen jullie onder een uitzondering waardoor je de TopUp met een andere credit card wel extra mag belasten met 0,5%?

With ATM withdrawals, Premium users still get 10 free withdrawals per month across any of their cards (including their bunq Travel Card if they have one).

Users on the Travel Card Membership do not have free ATM withdrawals. There is a fee of €0,99 per withdrawal.

With availability, as long as you're on the latest app there is a delivery under on your card. We will send you a push when the card is shipped to you 🌈.

Tom Alright. Also, support told me I can order this card and leave my Debit card active. When the Travel Card arrives at home, you freeze the debit, activate TC and then you won’t be charged €3. Is that correct, or do you have to freeze the card prior to ordering the Travel Card?

If the latter is the situation, it’s a bit awkward as that means potentially being without the MC Debit for weeks.

Yeah, that specifically covers merchants that are the beneficiary of the money being paid. This in reality means that those merchants build the cost of payments into their profit margin on the price of the product.

Of course with a money transfer service that doesn't happen, because we won't charge you €10 for €9 in bunq credit 😂

Money transfer services like this and TransferWise for example aren't covered by the rule, but of course we only pass on what it costs us to provide the service.

Jeroen 🏳️‍🌈 Een ATM-geldopname is meer dan alleen een creditcardbetaling. Je betaalt niet voor de creditcardbetaling zelf, maar voor het opnemen van het geld.

Als je bijvoorbeeld je creditcard gebruikt bij een geldwisselkantoor, krijg je ook een koersopslag. Die koersopslag is geen extra bedrag voor het gebruik van de creditcard, maar voor het geld wisselen.

LvH That is correct 🙌. As long as you freeze your debit card once you activate your travel card you will not be charged any extra.

Peter B Het ging mij niet om de geldautomaat eigenlijk. Daar geldt deze regel volgens mij niet voor, het is immers geen betaling die je maakt.

Maar als je geld op je Travel Card abonnement wil storten kan je dat ook doen met een credit card van een andere maatschappij. En dat is natuurlijk wel een betaling. Maar blijkbaar gelden er voor zulk soort betalingen andere regels dan wanneer je in een winkel iets betaald.

When you have a membership at bunq (Premium/Joint/Business) cash withdrawals with the travel card are free of change. Just like the other cards, you only pay if you withdraw more than 10 times a month.

However when order the travel card without a bunq membership, you pay 0,99 per cash withdrawal.
(and a one time fee of 9,99 for the card)

Tom Wat ik alleen nog niet helemaal door hebt is hoe de Travel Card werkt in een standaard Premium/Pack abo.

Je geeft in jouw opmerking diverse 'limieten', echter is dat alleen zo als je de éénmalige €9,99 Travel abo neemt, of gelden deze limitaties ook bij een Travel Card in je Premium/Pack abo?

Of werkt de Travel Card straks precies gelijk als nu met de Debit Card? Dus gewoon koppelen aan één van je IBAN's, online mee betalen, etc. etc.?

Maarten Polderdijk for regular Premium members your card will behave as the “old” debit Mastercard. Except it will be accepted in more places.🙂

Maarten Polderdijk Exactly as Sander stated, those limits are only if you take the travel card by itself for €9,99.

If you are a premium or pack member you keep all the functions you have now, and can also get a bunq travel card on top.

To me a signature feels outdated and has no value. And I rather not have my signature on a card I can loose for security reasons.

Michiel Hey Michiel, it’s AWESOME that bunq didn’t put a signature field. I wasn’t sure about it because it just could have been a design issue on the app.
