More advanced Siri shortcuts.

I love that we got Siri shortcuts support yesterday in bunq update 11!
Right now the bunq app only uses the user intend publication libraries though, so I have to actually perform an action to make it discoverable in the shortcuts app.
It does not yet support more advanced shortcuts with parameters etc.

Also it's not quite possible to transfered money between to of my bank accounts in shortcuts. It's close (I have to click through the dialog in the app then). I hope that the awesome bunq team builts on top of the existing shortcuts and adds more advanced options, especially since iOS 13 introduces a lot more shortcuts 3rd party capabilities! (Parameters and return values spark my joy there)!

Hannes Shortcuts with parameters are an iOS 13 feature: apps cannot make use of that until iOS 13 is launched fully.

Transfering money between accounts should be possible, what goes wrong?

Using the shortcuts app (not Siri!) transferring money between accounts is only possible if the receving account has a telephone number or email set up, and you enable "Open in App" and click "next" on all the steps, as well as select the correct sending account in the last screen.

Maybe this is indeed a bug? If it's still unclear I might be able to make a quick video displaying my problem

Hannes bunq does support the dedicated "transfer X from account A to B" Siri functionality (INTransferMoneyIntent), it's just that Apple's Shortcuts app doesn't support it. It works in Siri, but not in Shortcuts. This is an omission / bug in Apple's Shortcuts app unfortunately.

There's two workarounds available for this:
- if you are fine with a static amount, use Add Money -> Top up with another bunq account and a Siri Shortcut to "Top up X from account Y" shows up.
- Assign a phone number or e-mailaddress to your own bank accounts and use the "Send Money" intent to transfer money between your own accounts

Unfortunately, the Transfer functionality not showing up is a Shortcuts-app bug. Please send Apple a bugreport about this thru http://bugreport.apple.com . We've done the same, but more reports to Apple means Apple will notice it quicker (and hopefully act on it).

Andreas☀️ Can't bunq just add another Shortcut that does the same? Things 3 for example has a shortcut, that does have input fields, so bunq could add a shortcut that does exactly this without using the "send money" shortcut from apple at all.

The trick with assigning a phone number sadly has some drawbacks as well, see my comment above. it still requires 3 clicks plus a account select to send the money.

Hannes Unfortunately not. custom Shortcuts, outside of the default Siri supported functionality, currently do not support input. iOS 13 will add some limited functionality for this, but we are not allowed to support that until iOS 13 is released.

Things uses the built-in INNotesIntent Siri functionality. Built-in Siri functionality can be supported by apps and can have inputs. Those built-in commands need support in the Shortcuts app to show up tho. All the notes commands are supported in Shortcuts, but for the Payments command, only Send Payment/Request are supported by Shortcuts.

Please keep in mind there's a difference between Shortcuts and Siri functionality:
- Siri functionality is fully interactive in Siri and when supported by Apple's Shortcuts app, support input parameters
- "Siri Shortcuts" on the other hand are just pre-set commands that 3rd party apps tell the system are possible: they don't support custom inputs.

Built-in functionality such as Making payments / request / transfering money / viewing balances / adding notes / viewing notes are Siri functionality and thus supports custom inputs. Other custom Siri Shortcuts don't support inputs. Not all Siri functionality is supported by the Shortcuts app unfortunately.

Hannes We can always hope :) Siri Shortcuts with parameters on iOS 13 seems pretty limited also so far - it's opened up a bit, but doesn't seem to to allow fully custom input yet.

Andreas☀️ All I read about it so far, makes it seem very open with parameters in and out. But I haven't looked at it personally at all, so that could be misinformation.
I hope bunq doesn't let it sit as it is right now once iOS 13 is out. I know that automation Isa very niche market, but it's so cool when it works :)

Andreas☀️ I hope it allows for numerical input though, that’d make a thing or two so much easier. Combined with finally getting range support for numbers you can finally properly script against numerical input through siri.

Andreas☀️ I've got another bug here:
If the "open in app" switch is not on, you can not input an email address that is linked to on of your accounts. Choosing a contact seems to work.

Also when the "in app" switch is on, I still have to go through the worklfow, with the value prefilled. It would be even better if I didn't have to click through the workflow and just get to the final confirmation screen.

Hannes The emailaddress is a Shortcuts bug: better to report those at Apple. I do agree that the bunq app should go to the final screen if it redirects! Will see what i can do!

bump with iOS 13 just out, I think adding parameterized shortcut would be awesome!

Also it’s still the case that you have to go through the workflow in bunq when you use the “send money” action :/
It would be awesome if we could skip that and just see the confirmation dialogue!
