Sander Which of course is not strange at all, given the fact the design seems to be the problem for some Indians.
What I think about this: even though I fully agree with Ali that everyone should be who he wants to be, I think it is an impossible job to change cultures and people. I admire Ali strongly for wanting to make the world a better place, but a small Dutch bank won’t cut it.
I have asked a Romanian friend what he thinks about the bunq card without giving him any background info. He told me it looks ‘gay’. And I remember a few days ago we had an ‘I like the gaycard’ topic. Somehow the bunq design was associated with the gay colors.
Then again, people shouldn’t be forced to change. But I can fully understand if people use a different banking service when visiting countries that show not to be open to accept gay colors or anything associated with it.
Without giving in, I surely can understand if bunq would make a design for people who live in or visit these ‘high risk’ countries.
