💳 Do I need cash in Ireland, or can I use my card everywhere?
You can pay nearly everywhere with your card in Ireland.
There may be a few small businesses who still only accept cash, so it's handy to keep a small amount on you.
💰 What currency do they use here?
The currency here is Euros! The symbol is € or EUR.
🏧 Which ATM’s can I use for free?
The bunq community has reported free withdrawals at these ATMs.
- Allied Irish Bank (AIB)
- Bank of Ireland
💵 If I want cash, how much should I take out of an ATM?
€20 should be enough for a few days.

📱 Can I roam, or should I get a local SIM?
All EU mobile plans should let you roam for free.

Useful things to know
💁♀️ How does tipping work?
No tip is expected in Ireland.
If you get great service at somewhere like a sit down restaurant, you could tip around 10%.
Some restaurants do add a service charge to your bill, which is usually around 12.5%. If this is done, you don't need to tip on top as this is essentially the "tip".

- Renting a car is often the best way to see the most of Ireland. Remember that they drive on the left hand side of the road! 🚗
