Phone signal and internet are limited on Samoa. Lot of hotels have wifi, but be aware that it isnβt always complimentary. It is recommended that you buy a local sim when you arrive at the airport. You can use Digicell or BlueSky.

The quickest and easy to get around in Samoa is by car. There are many car rental servies.

Samoaβs has brightly coloured buses. They are an cheap and fun way to explore the local environment. Keep in mind that besides some terminals there are no fixed bus stops. So you need to need to wave down a bus as it approaches.

There a plenty of taxies. They provide a good service for a reasonable price.

-Be wary of strangers who approach you and offer to be your guide or sell you something.
-Tide changes can produce powerful currents in ocean lagoons.
-Use hotel safes for passports and valuables. Donβt leave important stuff unattended.
