İ see a lot of topics coming by with a shared remark: that bunq green card is useless as you can plant way more trees for a less amount at ecosia. This is true, partly. Bunq plants two trees (if you have premium) when you spend 100 whilst ecosia claims to plant 100 trees for that amount.
But whilst this seems statistically ridiculous consider for what amount you have donated trees up until this point, without the 100 you donated out of spite due to the green card (if you did). İ am sure that there are people who donate regularly but considering my case İ hardly donate for trees at all and the same applies to loads of people. Maybe you have donated thousands of trees up until now but then you would be more the exception than the rule. This is also a income related thing but you will not see me spend 100 on trees but maybe just a few once in a while. There are also people who just wanted the metal card and do not care for the trees, which means they would hardly donate trees without the card.
Consider that you spend 100 each week with the card, which means 400 a month which means 8 trees per month. Let us consider the span of six months which would make 48 trees. Did you donate 48 trees the last 6 months? İ did not and İ am sure many others did not either.
İf you did İ congratulate you. Truth is many people sill spend a lot more and a lot less than 100 a week but this changes on a day by day basis but this is just for example. Thing is, if you want the green card bunq practically forces you to plant trees (which is good) which they might not have if donated if they did not have the card.
İ hope you get my point.
