Jeroen 🏳️🌈 The account number, time in the month or week of payment, name of the account holder that is paying you, the hight of the amount and other properties of a payment are enough to recognise such a payment.
Bunq already uses this method when you categorise a payment for Insights and click on the ‘apply to all events like this’ button. It’s not exactly rocket science.
When most of the properties set for a payment to divide are met, the app will mark the payment as to be divided along the parameters you’ve set. Therefor the payment has to meet the most criteria.
For instance when you set your monthly wage of €1,000 to be divided, it won’t pick up a reimbursement your employer will transfer to you of €100. It will however pick up you holiday supplement of €2,000 and will divide the original €1,000 and leave the €1,000 at the ‘rest’ account.
