It would be better for customers with a premium bunq account if the green card is monthly rather than paying € 99 / year + € 7.99 / month A single monthly payment of € 16.50 (approximately) would be simpler and more logical.
Cedricmilletworld Hi there! Thanks for sharing your idea. That are a couple of problems with this though. The metal Green Card has a much higher production cost than for example the Travel Card. Making it possible to pay it monthly adds a risk of the user not keeping it for long enough that bunq can earn it back.
The topic is not new. It is important for the bank to have the one-off fee firmly in their pockets because the entire calculation is done on it. After all, a premium customer can cancel at any time.
TwitNour Just put a 12-month commitment period like N26, and it works out exactly the same;)
TwitNour 🤞 they offer the option for existing card holders in year 2
Cedricmilletworld So is it about paying in installments? Bunq doesn't want that as much as I know.
Heiko-Hartwig It is a question of simplifying for the customer the expenditure to be envisaged. A single monthly payment is always more interesting.
Cedricmilletworld a matter of taste. I would be totally put off by 16 € a month. Pay once and good.
Heiko-Hartwig So the solution would be to have a choice 😉 👍🏻
Heiko-Hartwig I agree with you!
Cedricmilletworld The bank is not interested in giving the customer a choice. Does the bank see this economically, not in the interests of the customer, and perhaps it is therefore making a pre-selection of its customers?
Once a year is perfect.
