I agree, the green card is a fun concept. However there are some things that really irritate me about it. Bunq knows about the popularity of a metal card, and they use the green card concept to cash in some more money for the people who want it. Yes, it is fun, it is modern, but it is way too expensive.
I think the same of the current marketing campaign. It will spark some people's interest, but the bulk of the people who are interested but find it too expensive will still find it expensive. The "10 free trees" is not really prove-able and could just be a cool new marketing trick. I love nature, I love trees, but it's still not worth it 100 Euro's a year.
The Green Card is a credit card and not widely accepted everywhere in where I live, but that is of course not the case for everyone. Yes, back to the future. But also with futuristic pricing.
