Ordering a Metal Card is very simple, you’ll just have to follow the easy steps explained here
- Is the Metal Card offered with Easy Green?
The Metal Card is free for users who'll pre-pay for 12 months of a Easy Green Personal or Easy Green Business plan;
If you want to leave Easy Green in that time, we'll simply charge you the difference between the card price (€129) and the monthly fees you paid in the meantime.
- Are all the features available in the Easy Green plan?
Yes, if you've an Easy Green plan, you’ll be able to enjoy all the features, just as you'll get access to all the Business features with a Business Easy Green plan.
On top of this, both plans will allow you to plant trees for all your card payment and become CO2 free in 2 years, while enjoying features such as Zapier and Auto-Export at no extra cost!
What happens to my current plan?
- What is going to happen to my Metal Card plan?
All our users who own a Metal Card (with a Metal Card, Personal or Business plan) will automatically be upgraded to Easy Green to enjoy all its benefits and plant trees on all their card expenses, all at no cost!
Since they already paid their yearly fee for the Metal card, they'll be able to enjoy this new plan at no extra cost until their next billing day in March 2021.
- What is going to happen to my Joint plan?
As part of this big step to a greater bunq experience, we've discontinued the Joint plan. However, we want to make sure that it remains easy to stay committed with your partner(s). As a bunq Joint user with a Metal Card, you've been automatically upgraded to bunq Easy Green at no extra cost for the next 3 months.
- Can I still share a Joint bank account with a friend/partner?
Of course this won't affect any joint or private sub-accounts that you've and you'll be able to experience all the benefits of bunq Easy Green to the fullest! You'll still be able to share joint bank accounts with your partner(s). See how here.
- What will happen to the oldest bunq plans: More, Free & Premium Limited / Promo?
Because so many of our users asked for a simpler way to contribute to a greener planet, we also simplified our plans. In doing this we discontinued the bunq Free / More / Premium Limited / Promo plans. However, we want to make sure that you get to experience the latest features that make life easy. If you’re on bunq Free, More or Premium Limited / Promo, you'll be automatically upgraded to bunq Easy Money for free for the next 3 months. This way you can get the full bunq experience without any hassle.

- I have a Personal and/or Business plans. What is it going to change for me?
Our Personal and Business plans will stay the same, so you can use the bunq features you know and love. This means that you'll still be billed the same amount as you were before the launch of Easy Green.
There will be an exception for our Business users with paid features such as Zapier, Auto-Export, Scan receipts and Auto VAT. These Business users will automatically be updated to Business Easy Green, and get an email with more information about this upgrade.
- Is there anything changing for bunq Pack members?
If you are a member of a bunq Pack you’ll still be able to enjoy one simple monthly fee of €19,99 for 4 Easy Money personal plans, or 3 Easy Money Personal plans and 1 Easy Money business account.
If you would like to be part of a Pack with an Easy Green plan, you can always change your plan and pay the difference between Personal/Business and Easy Green (€9/month for personal users, €10/month for business users).
If you've a bunq Pack with a Metal Card that you ordered before April 2020, you've been automatically upgraded to bunq Easy Green at no extra cost until March 2021! This means your monthly fee won't change until then. From April 2021, you just pay the difference between Personal/Business and Easy Green (€9/month for personal users, €10/month for business users)
- As a Personal user with a Metal Card I planted 2 trees for each €100 spent, is this still the case?
With bunq Easy Green, we made planting trees easy for everyone. Research has shown that a bunq Easy Green user, by planting trees with all their bunq cards, will plant 50% more trees than a Personal user with a Metal Card would have!
- I have already paid € 99 for my Metal Card plan. Do I have to pay something extra now that I’m automatically switched to Easy Green?
No! As promised, you'll not be charged until your next billing day which is in March 2021. In the meantime, you'll be able to enjoy all the benefits of Easy Green and plant trees on all your card expenses at no extra cost!
- What are the monthly fees for the Easy Green plans?
There is a monthly fee of €17,99 for a Personal Easy Green plan and €22,99 for a Business Easy Green plan.
- Do I have to pay something on top of the monthly Easy Green fee to get a Metal Card?
As an Easy Green member, you can order a Metal Card as part of your plan. You get the card (valued at €129) for free, provided you stay an Easy Green member for 1 year after you order it.
If you want to leave Easy Green in that time, we'll simply charge you the difference between the card price (€129) and the fees you've paid in the meantime.
- Is there any other change in the bunq Pricing?
From now on, additional cards will come at €2.99 per month, no matter what type of card you choose. This makes it possible to offer clear and easy pricing, also when we introduce new card types. You can always freeze additional cards from your bunq app to remove additional monthly fees.
