I will sum it up one more time, it is so simple for you bunq!
DO NOT CENSOR USERS POSTS! DO NOT REMOVE RELEVANT TOPICS and questions!
This is against the freedom of speech ie. THE LAW!
1. communicate breaking-changes on subscriptions on a Monday and well ahead of time!!
1b. Same goes for breaking changes in API/SDK's FOR DEVS!
2. new features on Thursday. built in room to breath between messages!
3. make sure wording is clear and from a consumers standpoint, this is not the case!
4. if simplifying subscriptions is your goal. look at what the majority of subscription holders is willing to pay and on which they initially signed on.
5. If this include subscriptions you as a company intent to discontinue, choose path of least resistance, price wise.
6. Keeping the weird pack around, again leads to confusion for the majority who do not want nor care to pay a stranger €5,- each month. (Most Europeans like to pay a company directly, just so you know!)
7. When launching simplified structures, make sure to announce that FIRST and not focus on an extension or change to a green-washing product.
8. Communicate a major change in price and structure ahead of time and per e-mail / direct message first without any pr about new products or features, also most users don't read together or the website at all. (they are here to have a bank account, not to be on a forum/community!)
9. Most important: don't lock people in on unwanted products! If they have not been informed ahead of time, continue said subscriptions for existing users UNTIL THEY THEMSELVES choose to change!
10. Give honest and full answers to questions, don’t copy/paste a nonsense response that doesn’t answer an individual question.
11. Don’t mislead users or post false promises which are misleading at best.
12. Don't do or be as the big banks do and are!
13. Don't do or be as the big banks do and are!
14. Don't do or be as the big banks do and are!
15. Don't do or be as the big banks do and are!
Conclusion: removing Joint subscription is okay, but increasing price is not.
Solution: remove Pack and Joint, put premium at €4,99 for everyone and call it a day.
Result: no confusion, no disgruntled users == win-win.
Plus people get to decide if the additional €9,- is worth the green washing effort of the Metal card on top of existing subscriptions.
