Whether it's supporting a local business or helping to rid the ocean of plastic, bunq makes it super easy to support the charity of your choosing, so you can give back to the causes you care about. All it takes is a tap in the app and you can start collecting donations!
You can set up Common Goals in the app to support charities and share your donation link with your friends, family, colleagues and loved ones. Everyone can donate!
How do I create a Common Goal?
- Go to the Community tab
- Tap on More
- Select Create a Common Goal
- Give it a description and a title that comply with our T&C's
- Enter the IBAN of the charity you want to support
- Share your goal with your friends and family to collect more!
The bunq app always keeps you up to date on how much you've raised for your goal, and you can even see the total donations given by the entire bunq community.
Simply go to the Community tab and tap on the circle above ‘Total donated’. There you’ll be able to see:
- How much you’ve raised in the ‘Goal Donated’ circle.
- The total amount of money raised by all bunqers above ‘Total Donated’
- The ranking of all the donation links to see which one managed to raise the most.
Good to know
- When a fraudulent common goal is created you can report the page by following these steps: Open common goals page > Tap on donate > Tap on "report this page"
- You can only create one common goal per user. You can however remove your current goal at all times. Be sure to know that it will be closed for good. After that, you’re able to create a new common goal.
- For the person who sets up the common goal there are no extra costs involved. If someone donates they could've their own costs per donation depending on their payment method. It’s good to know some payment methods have their own costs, such as payments done by credit card.
- You can share your goals throughout EU and non-EU countries. If the donators have a credit card you can direct them straight to your donation page.
- Deposits towards Common goal are processed right away. The processing time depends on what method of payment has been used, you can see more about this here
- There is no limit when it comes to donations towards common goals.
