If a company owes you money, and has got your mastercard info, it can't transfer the amount directly to you. All credit transactions are rejected, only debit are currently accepted. The company has to wire transfer it to your iban number. My normal mastercard(ics) supports this kind of transactions.
Hi Matthijs๐
Indeed, currently we do not support this for our bunq debit Mastercard.
I am sure other bunqers would also like to see this implemented.
I will turn your request into a Wish๐
Now let's get other bunqers to vote๐
For me this was working when I returned an order that was payed by MasterCard. I received the credit in my account.
Must have! ๐
This is a definate must have. All cards I have ever had have accepted debits and credits, so shocked bunq does not!
Hi Marco ๐,
We do indeed support refunds on transactions made at a store and e-commerce chargebacks ๐ช! What we do however not support is crediting to your Mastercard... be sure to vote for this wish if you would like to see this as well ๐
Thanks for sharing your experience!
I recently received a transaction to my MasterCard, so I canโt confirm the statement that it is not working.
The transaction was initiated directly by MasterCard regarding a customer bonus program. It arrived on my card appr. two days after initiation.
When do you need this? I only known refunds, but never known you can 'transfer' money to an credit/debit card?
For example if you bought something in a local store via cash and want it refunded back onto your credit card :)
Another use case: when you buy something at the Ikea and pay with your credit card, and at home u find out u don't like it, you can return it and they put the money back on your credit card. Much better than giving back cash ๐ฐ
But refunds on previous purchases is already possible, so I was wondering what the topic starter want to do right now before I vote this wish ๐
