Ik word een beetje moe van het constante upsellen van premium naar groen. Zoveel betaal ik niet met de betaal pas dus het heeft geen zin voor mij.

Ik zou willen dat het nieuwe design niet laat zien dat ik bepaalde features niet heb en dan ik niet constant wordt gevraagd bomen te planten op de mail / push notificaties.

8 euro per maand is redelijk wat, het is verantwoord, maar hou alsjeblieft op met reclame sturen terwijl je al betaald voor het account.

Marco personally I’m blest that I never receive any kind of marketing push notifications despite all my notifications are turned on.

If bunq would call and ask me “dear cute dog, do you have any wishes?” I would say:

Make the app completely marketing free for paying customers
Go wild on all the marketing you want, but keep it outside the app. I don’t mind to receive an email for instance once in a while.

make at least switch called “advertisements”.
and if you enable it, make sure that marketing is aware of your current subscription.

Missfällt mir ebenso sehr und ich schaue bereits wieder intensiver nach Alternativen. Ökologisch engagiere ich mich gerne anderweitig. Eine Bank, die mich permanent zum Pflanzen irgendwelcher Bäume zwingen will, nervt mehr und mehr.

Ik zorg ervoor dat ik zo min mogelijk push berichten heb op mijn telefoon. Alleen berichten die in lijn zijn met mijn persoonlijke doelen, zoals inzicht in uitgaven.
Dit soort reclame voegt voor mij niets toe en beschouw ik als zeer ongewenst.

Ik heb al supergreen en krijg als nog een push bericht over upgraden naar supergreen. Lijkt mij een beetje overbodig.

Yesterday, I unsubscribed from the mailing list because of this. Today, I receive a push notification with this ad.
If you need to push your product on users like this, the value proposition is off. Do something about that and revenue will follow.

You need to generate a lot of money to keep a bank running! It's natural that Bunq tries different things to make it work.

Perhaps last year's Metal Card launch was a big succes financially and they're trying to replicate that.

At any rate I think you can turn the notifications off with the "Helpful Tips" setting.

Ich denke man kann es keinem so richtig recht machen. Werbung gehört einfach dazu. Ich ignoriere sie und fertig. Bleibe bei meiner Premium-Mitgliedschaft. Mit dieser bin ich sehr zufrieden. Und wer nichts zahlen möchte sucht sich einfach einen anderen Anbieter. Gibt doch genug. Aber ob dieser diese Features wie bunq hat, bleibt abzuwarten. 😉

I just posted a topic addressing the same topic, it got deleted by a moderator.

I don’t like the way bunq is developing. I like bunq for being a no-nonsense bank, and I’m happy to pay for that. The whole green subscription seems like a marketing thing to me. If you want to help the climate for €9 per month, there are much better ways to do that.

I don’t like the way bunq is trying to push me into something that obviously does not help me or the climate.

And deleting topics that address these issues does not help my trust in bunq.

Hope to keep using the bank of the future for a long time, but please don’t lose your focus, bunq!

Helemaal mee eens.
Boompjes planten is grappig, maar is geen kerntaak van een bank en dus hoeft er in de app ook geen prominente plaats voor boompjes te zijn.

John Do Good idea. But with all understanding, it is also not uncommon for a company to want to upsell.

Philipp of course not :) The question is more.. should this be so prominent in the app?

If I take a look at myself... I already have the highest subscription possible so bunq doesn’t have to sell me anything. On the other hand, if someone is a brand new user.. you might want to “guide” him to a higher subscription.. perfectly understandable. Still, if that person was me, I wouldn’t want it to distract me in the app.

But that is just me. I’m more the kind of dog that rather would receive an email with useful information.

Anyway, think it would be good to give the user a choice at least.
