Personally I try to advocate bunq to all my friends and family. The ease of use was awesome. But this update makes me cringe.
And for me personally is a huge step back.
The ease of access is ruined.
- It takes several more steps to adjust cards.
- can't see the difference of virtual and actual credit card at first glance anymore
- the so called clean layout makes it so that I have to click more to actually see what is going on.
- pictures for accounts.
- the main focus feels to be on advertisement and social media. I already hated the achievements in the last version. It's banking! Not some silly mobile game. But hey it was hidden somewhere so I couldn't be bothered. But now every screen it's. Get greener, save this, achievements that. Buy more cards, buy accounts.
- forced dark mode (I always had light mode)
I don't mind features to be added to the platform if others want them. But the fact that everything is Forced in the app of the bank that states 'Bank of the free' rubs me the wrong way. Make it so people can turn of things like us, the green initiatives, the achievements, etc.
To me personally if it's not gonna change it will mean I need to look for another bank. This app is the opposite from the reason why I joined bunq. ease of use!
