Very nice and all, the Instagram-feed on the Us-screen. It now shows a give away promotion is which, I assume, I can participate to win some price. How nice of bunq to give their customers the opportunity to benefit of such a promotion, by corporate this offer in its app.
The fact is that I don’t have an Instagram account, nor do I wish to obtain one. Apparently this promotion is Instagram only, which is of course fine with me. I often miss out on promotions as I don’t have a Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat account, which is a disadvantage I accept in exchange for my privacy.
The problem I have with this promotion is that it is offered by my own bank in the app I use for doing my banking business. That would imply that I, as a customer at my bank, should be eligible to participate in this promotion, but I am not eligible, as I can’t open the Instagram post.
Why does bunq display promotions in the app I use to communicate with them, for which I am not eligible due to my refusal to do business with third parties? Why try to seduce me to participate when I am not eligible at all? Why does bunq exclude customers whom take their privacy serious from a promotion?
The bigger problem is that news and stories which might interest me, are displayed that I cannot read, because I value privacy and do not wish to register at any Instagramish or Facebookish service.
Pleas bring bank the tiles which would be on the Together page. Make all relevant information reachable for all of your customers. Even those without accounts at social media.
The way you are sending out information is in contrast with one of the reasons why I choose bunq in the first place; because they value my privacy as much as I do.
