Cancelled physical card right after creation, not received a refund

Hi!

I am a new bunq travelcard user and made a mistake ordering the physical card from the virtual card. By the way, a cost information would be nice before the money is deducted. I managed to cancel it afterwards, but the money was not refunded. When I ordered the right card, the money was deducted again. Is no refund of the card cost possible?

Anita Normally no refunds are given. But you could contact Support and ask them if they make an exception given that you ordered the card unintentionally. Hopefully bunq can add a clear confirmation screen soon so this doesn‘t happen 😌

Anita Hatte das gleiche. Nach einer Mitteilung an den Support wurden mir die Kosten relativ schnell erstattet. Eine Kostenbestätigung vor der finalen Bestellung wäre bestimmt sehr hilfreich.

Jakob thanks for your answer, I typically understand the no refund rule, but after the button for the physical card, no confirmation was needed and I was not able to choose how the name is printed. That is very unusual in my opinion since the „normal way“ was asking for a lot more information. That is not very user friendly for new users.

I have the same issue and sent it to support. For me this is a good test. I want to do all my banking via Bunq but if this refund creates a lot of fuzz or is difficult to arrange I won't, so I'm pretty happy about the mistake someway. :)

Attef Blocking a card is a permanent action that cannot be reversed (neither by you nor by bunq). If you want to deactivate a card only temporarily, then please only freeze it.
