Everytime I rent a car, the agent at the counter tells me that my Mastercard doesn't work because it's a debit card.
I know that this is slowly changing, but for real bunqers today this means they have to get a credited from another company if they ever rent a car.
Could you people at bunq think up something that solves this problem? In much the same way as dual PIN and Apple Pay, there has to be a better way.
Could you write credit card on it if it had a 10 EUR spending limit? It would technically qualify as a credit card and you could write that on the card (which is the only thing these companies go by). When they try to authorize an amount, you could block that from the account balance without having to get in the credit and lending business.
My problem has never been that I didn't have the 800 EUR deposit they tried to authorize on my account, but simply that it states "Debit" on
the card.
