In March I filed a bug via a private Support ticket, but since it is still current in the new app I will post it on the forum to see if people experience the same issue.
Issue 1
When I want to set a profile photo for it is only possible to choose from the following apps to open from (on my device):
- Google Camera
- My Canon print app
I have other apps installed on my phone where I have my profile photo saved in. For example, I use Google Photos or just save an image on phone storage or Google Drive.
When I choose the the Google Camera app it won't let me choose a photo from my device and will only let me take a photo.
-> I expect to use a photo from at least the phone storage to set a profile photo. Preferable I want to be able to choose from more than the 2 which shows up now when setting a profile photo, like Google Photos.
Issue 2
When I want to upload an attachment to a payment you get the same apps to choose from when setting a profile photo. On my phone these are the Camera and Canon print app. Often I've got my receipts or attachements already saved on local phone storage or Google Drive. And even more often I never received a invoice on paper and have this only in a digital format.
-> I expect to be able to upload an attachement at least from phone storage and not only from taking a photo.
To summarize, in the current app it is impossible to choose an already saved photo, eg. from storage device or Google photos / Drive to use it for a profile or attachment.
Issue 3
When raising a private Support ticket they often ask for a screenshot. Same as in the above situations, it is not possible to upload a screenshot since when tapping the paper clip icon in the Support chat it only allows to take a picture via the Camera app, or again the Canon print app
-> I expect to be able to upload an attachement at least from phone storage and not only from taking a photo since it is impossible to share a screenshot now with Support.
Workaround:
When setting a profile photo choose the Google Camera app and take a photo from your laptop with your profile photo shown 😏
Extra note
This behaviour is throughout the whole app I've found (only choose Google Camera or Canon app).
