David Kenny No that will not work. You can receive SWIFT payments (make sure to check the price list for fees), but they will only be accepted by bunq if they're denominated in Euro, as bunq only deals in Euro and cannot exchange currencies themselves currently.
Many people use TransferWise's business account (for businesses) or their regular multi-currency account (for personal use) together with their bunq account: https://transferwise.com/gb/business/ Then it's very easy to receive USD payments, you even get local US bank details so your clients don't need to make international transfers and you can send money from your TransferWise account to your bunq account fast and easy. But that's just my personal advice, you're of course free to use any other third party or of course a bank account at another bank that supports receiving USD payments.
