Always require hand authentication

I was talking with Raul in Private Matters and came up with the idea of requiring hand authentication when you want it, just as an extra security feature that bunq stands for!

You can set any amount you want, and for all transfers above that amount that are not to monetary accounts that are yours, you will have to authenticate with a hand scan. Just some extra security!

What do you think? :)

In the beginning it was required a lot, and I thought it's a nice security feature. But it changed sometime along the way, and I can't remember when I let used it. Everything I approve now, I do with the phone's fingerprint reader these days.

Thanks for sharing your idea 💡. I think use of famous bunq hand authentication for the those who would like even more security options at there disposable, is a good thing!

For me personally there are standard already enough security measurement in place. As a user I already have quite a few options:
- I can decide how secure the access to my phone will be.
- I can decide how long my bunq session stays active.
- small risk transactions or settings the fingerprint or code is already required.
- and for the more high risk transactions and settings the hand authentication already comes in to play.

And, then there is always the question who is liable for damages if something went wrong? In most cases that would be bunq.

Anyways lets see what other bunqrs say. Have a great Sunday ☀

As we discussed earlier, to me it just gives a safe feeling if I have to do a hand scan of five seconds instead of one tap on the fingerprint sensor 😃 but I would like to secure my account a bit more and then, for people like you, we still have the same Flow!
