I have an idea 💡(manyyyy actually) .

Well alright then. On the QR-tab you have the ability to create a payment QR. In the old days you could use this to let other bunqrs pay you simply by scanning the QR-code in the app. I think this feature is a bit outdated and I bet that the statistics will show hardly anybody uses this, especially since sharing a bunq.me url is easy.

Ok John, so what do you propose?
Good question! I think it would be a shame to lets this feature go to waste. So, why don't alter this feature so the the button now will show your bunq.me URL as an QR instead. And also let you share this QR. This way you don't have to share your url using things as whatsapp or email. You can simply show someone the code, they scan it and can instantly pay with the banking app or their choice.

Well John, but their are plenty of apps that van generate a QR already
True, but if you just simply use the space and function that is already in the app, it would be easier for the user. And you can even add functions as filling in the amount.

Although I hate to lose functionality so I hope a combination would be possible ✌️

But on the other side if I really want to I could probably generate a old type of QR with the API 💻

this is a brilliant idea 💡maybe having both functions from within the app would be really really nice (with a switch to create a bunq.me qr or a normal IBAN one). One question I still ask my self when using this QR function why should someone send me the QR code that I would have to scan to then be able to pay him, why not directly send the bunq.me link. But this could be awesome for shops so they can put the code near the menu or something like this.

then, It'll be much more useful if you could also just skip the bunq.me qr altogether for Dutch users and have it display an iDeal QR. in the app, so a choice of three different qr's in this tab would make this function much much much more useful, a bunq qr for bunq users, a bunq.me qr for everyone else where they can choice their own amount or one pre-set by the bunqer showing the qr or a third qr with already set amount for ideal directly.

And at best you could also have the 4 codes on a switch:
SEPA QR-Code*, bunqcode, bunq.me as URL (with amount and description) and iDEAL (or not, if it's not free on charge)

*compatible with Girocode, which also works with Sparkasse and Outbank and others
