Mijn betalingen met Mastercard in bijvoorbeeld de supermarkt en bij de bakker lukken sinds een week of 2 niet. Betaling geweigerd (tap, chip en magneetstrip). Met VISA of Maestro van andere bank en online met Bunq geen problemen.
Joost Kon je voor die tijd wel betalen met MasterCard in diezelfde winkels? Veel winkels in Nederland ondersteunen alleen Maestro, geen Mastercard.
Peter B I've only been back in The Netherlands since 2 weeks, after been away for almost 2 years, so I don't know. Before that, never had any problems with mastercard, but that was before I joined bunq.
Joost For shopping in the Netherlands, you should definitely also try using a Maestro card instead (bunq offers one of course!). It is much better accepted by shops overall than the regular Mastercards, which only work in a small portion of establishments.

I only spend maybe a total of 1 or 2 months a year in The Netherlands. Don't see the point of getting an extra physical card for that, which is useless overseas. But thanks for the suggestion.
