Manuel Hi, first off: it does not matter if you pay with Apple Pay or not. All card payments (and ATM withdrawals) are counted equally.
The rule is: 1 tree per 100 Euro spent with a card. Let's look at an example with some transactions, starting with a fresh new bunq account:
1) 2 Euro purchase. (2 Euros total) -> No tree. ❌
2) 90 Euro purchase. (92 Euros total) -> Still no tree. ❌
3) 10 Euro purchase. (102 Euros total) -> 1 tree planted. 🌳
4) 250 Euro purchase. (352 Euros total) -> 2 trees planted. 🌳🌳
5) 50 Euro purchase. (402 Euros total) -> 1 tree planted. 🌳
6) 95 Euro purchase. (497 Euros total) -> No tree. ❌
etc.. you probably get the point 😉 So sometimes you will have smaller purchases like number 3 in my example that plant a new tree, and sometimes you will have a little bit bigger purchases like number 2 or 6 where no tree is planted because you haven't reached another 100 Euro threshold yet. Of course with purchases over 100 Euros you will always plant at least a single new tree. 🌳
