I remember when I signed up with Bunq there was a hand scanner to authorize certain transactions. Why did it go? What’s the alternative, and does it provide the same security?
Steven That was removed in August 2020. For logging in on a new device you now need to open a magic link that arrives via e-mail / SMS and you have to deal with a cooldown period. In the app you sometimes need to provide your regular login code or Face ID/Touch ID in order to authenticate things like raising certain limits. I have not seen any specific documentation about when exactly you are asked for this.
