Tim Why is there no support for bunq yet? They seem to be using a third party, TrueLayer.
Maybe TrueLayer hasn't developed support for bunq. If that's the case, the most likely reason for that would be not enough interest because of bunq being smaller-scale than the supported banks.
As you probably know, bunq was one of the first in the industry to offer third-party access via an API. Nowadays, this is required anyway by legislation, so every bank offers a way for third-parties to integrate with their services. But as you have experienced, third-parties are of course not required to implement support for every bank out there. They will still prioritize. So quintessential you could also say the reason for bunq not being supported is that there's not enough financial incentive to integrate with bunq's API.
However, the possibility of course exists. Import for YNAB uses Tink as a third-party and supports bunq. Also the community has developed solutions like bunq2ynab (this is auto-import btw) on their own. Of course bunq can also do something: get bigger. This would kinda force companies like TrueLayer to start supporting them, too.
