Anyone else extremely annoyed and frustrated about Bunq?

I'm so annoyed and pissed about the last 1,5 years in development. They are adding more and more features likely no one ever uses (e.g. this creepy friends tab: who wants their friends to see what they buy?!)
Bunq had such an awesome app with V2, but then they fucked up everything! They lost their focus and shifted from top notch banking to a mediocre social banking experience. I loved Bunq when I joined over 2 years ago, but now I'm just angry and frustrated about the bullshit that's going on.
I want to leave 'em but can't, because they have awesome features other banks (even fintechs) are still lacking, e.g. virtual cards which can get assigned to literally any bank account you have at Bunq.

So please Bunq, listen to your customers and don't built what you think they want! Go back to V2 or built the app from scratch and cut out all the unnecessary and annoying social features, but please find your original orientation back!

Ich habe mich die Tage auch dazu entschlossen bunq zu verlassen. Mein Jahresplan läuft noch ein paar Monate und danach sollte der Umzug auch komplett durch sein.

Mich verstört das Layout der App immer mehr. Es kommen nur noch unnötige Produkte dazu, die das Bankingerlebnis nur noch unübersichtlicher machen.

Wieso kann bunq nicht ein schlichtes Design bauen wie beispielsweise bei N26?

Ich war etwas erschrocken als Ali bei der Präsentation von V19 von "nice App" gesprochen hat. Ich hatte ehrlich gesagt gehofft, dass bald ein neue Version kommt die sich wieder auf banking konzentriert.

Ich kenne V2 nicht, kann also nur zum aktuellen Stand etwas sagen. Mir gefällt die App sehr gut. Der Funktionsumfang ist enorm, das neue Investment Feature reiht sich perfekt für mich in die Philosophie von bunq ein. Der Freunde TAB ist meiner Meinung nach total nützlich, WENN mehrere der Freunde und Familie auch bunq nutzen, ansonsten kann man ihn doch einfach ignorieren? Für meine Ansprüche kann ich also bis auf den nicht vorhandenen telefonischen Support oder live Chat nur zufrieden sein.

Markus Beim Funktionsumfang gebe ich dir vollkommen Recht. Allerdings gibt es auf dem Markt Apps, die weit intuitiver und besser zu bedienen sind.
Das Layout bei bunq ist sehr schlecht und erinnert mich eher an eine Datingapp als an eine Bank...

Ich brauche diese ganzen sozialen Funktionen auch nicht. Um in einer fremden Stadt ein tolles Restaurant zu finden, ist meine letzte Anlaufstelle die Banking App. Aber ich sehe das gelassen, solange sich bunq auch auf die banking Features konzentriert. Den Rest inklusive dem friends tab und das Baum Zeugs ignoriere ich. Klar, wenn es ginge würde ich es komplett ausblenden. Ich bin aber weder verärgert noch frustriert, denn ich finde es immer noch die beste Bank, die es aktuell am Markt gibt. Das Investment Feature ist ein Anfang und geht in die richtige Richtung.

Same here! Bunq V2 was great and useful. Part of V3 is still great, but more and more useless features are being added. If the Friends and Community parts would be removed from the app, it would be much better already.

Thijs Aber warum? Der Community Teil ist doch praktisch, wenn man eine allgemeine Frage hat, antwortet jemand deutlich schneller als der Support und es entlastet den Support bei einfachen Fragen.

Und der Freunde Teil ist doch auch okay, wenn man es nutzen will! Wenn nicht, verstehe ich nicht warum man die Funktion nicht einfach ignoriert?

I'm frustrated and disappointed because Bunq changed my plan and charged my account three months in row without any notification or authorization from my side. They switched my Easy Travel plan to Easy Green and charged me 17.99 euro every month without authorization. I did not even receive a notification on my account when the payment was made which clearly indicates how suspicious this whole thing is!!! Now when I contact the support and ask for a refund, they tell me they cannot refund the money they took away without my consent because I have "extensively" used my card!
I'm frustrated for having my money taken away from me in such a fraudulent way.

Markus Not Together, the forum is nice. With community I meant the Community tab in the app, showing how much trees are planted, etc.

Markus And yes I can ignore the Friends feature, but my problem is more that bunq spends a lot of time developing Friends features, instead of other features that are useful.

What's the idea/vision behind the friends tab? I believe you must be a decent guy founding a company like this. You should be able to explain why you still have a feature while no one is using it.

Ich stimme euch zu, ich finde auch, dass bunq mit v3 seinen Fokus verloren hat. Das v3 UI ist mittlerweile ganz okay geworden, aber vieles muss man weiterhin echt oft suchen - die App ist einfach zu überladen und vieles ist unnötig versteckt.
Ich hoffe auch auf ein Design Update, wo zumindest Community und Freunde auf einen Tab reduziert werden, dann könnte ich mich damit abfinden, da ich beides nicht wirklich nutze. Ich finde bunq kann zwar an diesen Funktionen weiterarbeiten - für manche sind die vielleicht nice-to-have - aber letztendlich sind wir ja immernoch bei einer Bank.

Heiko Hartwig Na ja, der Ärger verfliegt mit der Zeit und wandelt sich in Frust. Es ist tatsächlich so, dass ich bei der V19 Präsentation Ärger verspürt habe, als Ali die völlig schwarze App bediente und dies mit „our nice App“ kommentierte. Die App passt meiner Ansicht nach schon optisch nicht zum Auftritt von bunq. Klar, man kann den Konten Fotos hinzufügen, was die Lesbarkeit erschwert. Man kann auch den(immer noch) experimentellen Light Modus nutzen. Das hilft optisch etwas. Trotzdem sind mir wichtige Funktionen hinter vielen Klicks versteckt, während beispielsweise der Freude Tab prominent platziert wurde. Das ist weder Easy, noch spart es Zeit.
