Not a comment on whether the Friends tab is good or bad, but bunq doesn't share your spending history. The Friends tab allows you to opt into sharing the places you've previously paid at with the friends on your friends list. They cannot see when you visited a location, how often you visited it, or how much you paid and/or what you bought. It still has some privacy implications that bunq should really think about, but just wanted to make that clear.
I think if bunq wants to make this feature more attractive, there should be an option between "Share all places" and "Share only certain places", maybe even allow users to create curated lists. And then you could also choose to make certain lists public to all users. Because if I get something from this thread it's A) privacy concerns about blanket sharing and B) people don't have friends/family on bunq. Both are completely valid concerns. But if next time I go to Amsterdam and I can quickly look at some curated lists from fellow bunqers that have shared their favorite places (like actual favorite places, not just all places they've ever been to) with some comments and ratings like they were already introduced now with Update 19, that sounds like it could actually be helpful. A bit like the guidebooks on Airbnb which for me personally already came in handy a few times when traveling.
