Foppe why bunq stopped supporting contactless payments
No official information on that, but my personal guess would be that it just requires less work. Now after Google Pay is also supported fully in The Netherlands, maintaining Tap&Pay is maybe seen as an expense that can be spared. Also, having two features that basically accomplish the same thing could be confusing for less technical users.
Concerning the transaction history privacy, as for Google Pay I would agree, but Apple doesn't store this information: "when you use Apple Pay with credit, debit, or prepaid cards, Apple doesn't retain any transaction information that can be tied back to you—your transactions stay between you, the merchant or developer, and your bank or card issuer"
Can bunq tell us when they'll add proper support?
Given the fact that they supposedly purposefully removed Tap&Pay support very recently, I would be surprised if they're planning to do so. In general, though, I guess it's safe to say that bunq does not announce anything before it ships and they ship features as soon as they have implemented a MVP.
