MariA After you received your card, you can tap on it in the app (all your cards are on the Home tab) and activate it. You also have to choose a PIN code. More info about that here: https://together.bunq.com/d/3985
First time, make sure to stick the card into the payment terminal instead of trying to use contactless payment. Then pay by entering the PIN code on the pinpad of the terminal and your card will be activated for contactless transactions.
Other things you should be aware of:
- bunq does not give you any credit or loan. If you want to make a payment, make sure there's enough money on the sub-account that is connected to your card.
- Your card can only be used in the countries that you have activated in the settings of the card. Before you travel, you might want to add more countries. Here's some info on that: https://together.bunq.com/d/2815
- In case a payment should get declined and you don't know why, this article has all the things you could check: https://together.bunq.com/d/24142 For example, you might have set a too low limit. In almost all cases, there is also an event visible in your transaction list in the app that will tell you exactly what the problem is so you can always quickly fix it :)
