Hi Nick! a few facts - what you see is mangrove restoration in Madagascar - Mangrove reach up to 8m height, so definitely not a shoe size ; mangrove is known to grow very rapidly (2m in the first 2 years) when there is 15 years difference in the images... ; so they are not growing that slow ; the restoration is happening in the North West of the country where both of such landscape are clearly plausible in that region (just look for images in the region on Google) ; the colour of the river strongly depends on the weather (rainfall amount) conditions in the region... there is nothing strange about a colour change ; such picture is also found on Eden's own social media...
My point is that there is no need to overreact and right away calling it a scam, unless you do think that Eden is a scam and then you should notify Bunq right away about it ;) I agree that such images are most probably not taken at the exact location and are misleading somehow. But it doesn't change the message behind which is that so far Eden has participated to the planting AND protection of 776+ million trees in the region (just look at their website to see the effort they do to try to preserve the tree they plant). Mangroves are known to be a great sink of CO2 compared to other vegetation and also very good for biodiversity.
You can disagree but there is a more constructive way to show it I believe. Don't you think?
