Mastercard chargeback not possible after 120 days

Ordered a product and bought this with my metal card. After several contacts and no response, I tried a refund by Bunq. But because it is more than 120 days, Bunq declined it and says I have to contact the seller. I tried but they never responds. I thought Bunq would be more helpful 😡

XXX Hi! Unfortunately, as you can read here, it's indeed not possible to ask for a card refund after 120 days. Not because bunq is unwilling to do so, but because Mastercard doesn't allow refunds after 120 days (as you can find in the Mastercard Chargeback Guide on page 505). Unfortunately, there's nothing bunq can do, no matter how much they might want to.

XXX Wanneer je kaartbetalingen doet met een Mastercard zijn betalingen via Mastercard verzekerd en kan je tot 120 dagen geld terugvragen. Maar buiten deze 120 dagen is dit helaas niet meer mogelijk. Bunq of Mastercard kunnen natuurlijk ook niet zomaar opdraaien voor een frauduleuze verkoper, het probleem zit hier niet bij bunq/Mastercard, maar de verkoper is de oorzaak dat je je geld kwijt bent.
