Tetiana First things first: this is public community forum. You're not talking to bunq, but to other users. If you want to talk directly with bunq, contact the support instead.
But on to the topic, there are several things that come to my mind:
- bunq does not convert currencies when receiving SWIFT transfers. So for example a Euro account can only receive Euro transfers, a USD account can only receive USD transfers etc. -- maybe the Russian bank didn't send the money in the right currency of your bunq account.
- There are several Russian banks that are no longer connected to SWIFT network, but if this were the problem, the money would've never reached bunq in the first place. This is unlikely to be the reason, as it seems like you have gotten a message in the bunq app about the payment being rejected. While bunq of course complies with international sanctions like any fully licensed bank, they do not "over-comply" as far as I'm aware.
- The fees for SWIFT transfers are billed in your monthly invoice. Even if you do not have enough money in your account, you should still be able to receive SWIFT transfers without issues. Therefore, this is also unlikely to be the reason for rejection.
Of course, there might be other reasons in your specific case that we can't know about. Therefore, if there's still anything unclear, I'd recommend to contact bunq directly instead.
