Ich frage mich schon länger was ist besser Revolut oder Bunq- was könnt ihr über Revolut sagen? nur das es eine litauische Bank ist.

Johannes. DE-(GE)🇩🇪 Hey 👋 kurz gesagt, ich denke bunq hat in allem die Nase vorne, außer du suchst ein Konto um Kryptowährungen zu handeln, dann bist du sicher bei Revolut besser aufgehoben.

I am going to try it these days.
Though... looks like it has a banking license for EU via Lithuania but for UK (where it is based) does not.
Agree with Markus , it has the precious metals and crypto trading features, which in my case is not a plus.
Looks like they do not offer Credit Cards but only debit cards. This limits a lot what you can do when you want to rent a car.. or book an hotel when a Credit card is required.
Customer's wise and capital wise looks like it is much bigger than bunq.

GG The banking license is the real bummer in my opinion. Also you can’t have any local IBAN. As I said, bunq is superior in every aspect regarding the features.

Johannes. DE-(GE)🇩🇪 I think it is like N26, only debit card. I tried to add cards and only debit ones are available. Looks like only in Lithuania and Poland you can get a Credit Card. Looks also like Credit Cards would be offering a credit limit but I could not test it. Frankly have not read completely the T&Cs.

Well.. what is best I think is for everyone to evaluate the features and bank credibility. Frankly... a bank with HQ in UK (outside EU) with a kind of work around EU license in Lithuania and no banking license in the UK... does not convince me 100%.

GG Agree. It’s at least a little shady to use this way to provide bank accounts in the EU. Also Revolut is relying on a lot of venture capital and used aggressive marketing to generate a lot of new customers. Not exactly the way bunq is doing business, bunq has a very conservative and lasting way to grow and finance itself.
