Haven’t received an instant transfer

I tried to transfer from InG to my Bunq account yesterday morning, but I haven’t received it until now. The support officer suggested me waiting until Monday. It’s a new Bunq account. Anyone experienced it? I find it really inconvenient

Anjarweni ING doesn't send transfers to bunq as Instant Payments. They'll start supporting TIPS payments later this year. That's why ING transfers to bunq are sent as regular SEPA transactions, which take 1-2 business days.

Nothing bunq can do, it's on ING's side.

If you want to add money from ING to bunq quickly, use: Home > More > Add money> iDeal.

That’s interesting. Are there different types of instant payments? I remember Bunq being first with them, but have been annoyed many times that ING payments aren’t instant, whereas say ABN AMRO payments are.

Vincent There are different instant payment networks, some banks support more, some only one of them. Bunq does support RT1 and TIPS regarding instant payments.

Vincent Yes! There are three big SEPA Instant Payment networks:

TIPS
RT1
Worldline

Bunq supports TIPS and RT1. Only when the two banks at both ends of the transaction (sending and receiving) support the same Instant Payments network, the transaction will be instant. Bunq indeed supported these networks from the beginning.

ING only supports incoming TIPS transfers, but doesn't support outgoing TIPS transfers. Therefore, transfers from bunq to ING are instant, but transfers from ING to bunq are not.

Thijs I’ve met one situation that I sent three outgoing payments from bunq to ING. One time 50 euros, one time 50 euros then last time was 4900 euros. The first two are instant payments and arrived on my ING account immediately. While the 4900 euros payment is not instant ( didn’t see a lightening icon on the payment ). Do you have any clue?

Yiyu Yes, larger payments are sometimes delayed by banks because banks are required to investigate larger payments.

But it can also be that there was a short downtime in one of the Instant payment networks, so the payment couldn't be sent instantly.

Hi! I sent 1 euro to ing bank account at 10am which arrived immediately, but then i sent 25k which have not arrived yet. Is it normal?
