Currency exchange costs and local currencies

1) Me and my partner have a joint account in bunq (in euros). Do we profit from the “no currency exchange costs” if we use bunq in Mexico? 2) if we want to “bank like a local” for example in USA, can we add USD to our joint subaccount? Or is that not possible?

Dennis 1) Bunq has a 0,5% fee on converting currencies. This is often ±3% at other banks.

2) No, you can't add USD to an EUR Joint account. You'll have to open a USD account and use the connect feature to connect your partner to this account. Joint accounts can only be in EUR.
