I don‘t think there‘s another Dutch bank that offers free accounts but you could compare different offerings and see if anything fits you better if you‘re not satisfied with the fees. You should also be able to continue using a foreign account (for example from Spain) while living in The Netherlands. Thanks to the SEPA this is possible nowadays. Hell, you can even open an Openbank bank account while living in The Netherlands.
Anyway, with current market conditions and how bunq is structured, they don’t actually make any money from you receiving your salary here. That’s why a small monthly fee is taken for the service.
