Yes, to answer your question, this can be with varying cards from e.g. ABN, ING, Rabo or SNS. Depending on the chiptype and version of EMV specification used on those cards. Newer cards, issued by these banks in the last 2-3 years should work, but aren't guaranteed.
bunq of course uses a relatively new chip type and method of encoding information on the chip and all bunq cards should work regardless of year of issue.
UPDATE OF THE ABOVE POST: Maestro works on the TfL system on it's own or through a digital wallet like Apple Pay, but please be aware that when using a Maestro card, £20,- is deducted from the account on first travel as a reservation, this transaction will be updated with the actual amount of that days travel sometime at night or early next morning.
I've tested this last week when I was on holiday in London.
For an AMEX, Visa or Mastercard a £1,- pre authorization charge is deducted on the card/account on first travel, and of course, this also gets updated with the actual amount traveled at the and of the day.
