Jack If they are messing with my settings, I think they should know they are wrong, and I get angry. I think I have the right to be angry.
The behavior is the same in many apps for loyalty cards and often wanted and needed. Your personal experience apparently differs, but I'm sure nobody at bunq had the thought "let's mess with the user's settings for no reason". Insinuating that this is the case is not a constructive argument.
And I am saying these words to my best friends too... why so sensitive?!
You're free to communicate with your friends in any manner that you feel comfortable with. The values in the bunq Community however might differ. Please take a look at this article for more info: https://together.bunq.com/d/6226
I have the latest version of iOS, and it happens every time (that the brightness does not go down). I hope they will look into it, it is annoying.
Personally I'm also on iOS 16.1.1, and now I have tested this out and played around with my loyalty card a bit more, but unfortunately I cannot reproduce it. Whatever I do, as soon as I leave the screen showing the barcode, the brightness levels immediately adjust back to what they were on before. (Actually it's working more reliably than I would've had imagined, lol.)
Maybe someone from bunq has more luck with reproducing it. In cases of bugs or issues that seem to be specific to you and might have to do with your device or settings, in can also help to open a support ticket where you can supply more info. Last but not least: My personal tip is adding the loyalty card as a widget instead of opening it inside the bunq app. Then your display brightness will not be affected in any way and it's even a bit quicker to get to :)
