Where can I see my CO2 Footprint?
- Go to your đł Green tab
- Scroll down to the âYour CO2 Footprintâ graph
- You can also tap on âView Detailsâ to see a detailed breakdown of your CO2 Footprint per category
Additionally, with every payment you make, you can see the exact CO2 contribution of that payment. To do so, you just need to tap on the payment event in the relevant Bank Account.
How is my CO2 Footprint calculated?
Whenever you make a payment using your bunq account, you get insights on the carbon Footprint of your purchase. To calculate this carbon Footprint, we consider the country in which you made the payment, the payment category (e.g. Groceries, Travel, Fashion), the merchant, and how much you spent. To give you the most accurate insights, our method draws from an enormous amount of statistical data. Of course, each and every transaction is unique and the carbon Footprint you see in the app will not be 100% accurate. Instead itâs intended as a reliable estimate that helps you make informed decisions on how to live more sustainably.
Good to know
Itâs important to note that the CO2 Footprint calculated is an estimate, not an exact measurement. We derive the estimate from an average within a category of goods/services and transaction value. However, the individual items in your shopping basket arenât known to us.
Only payments made via card, iDeal, and direct debits will get a CO2 Footprint.
Your Footprint data is exclusively used to generate your carbon Footprint for your Insights and is not utilized for any other purposes.
