I am also very unhappy with Finn. It does not provide the ability to quickly search through everything, instead it is slow and provides responses that are not really useful. The possibility to switch between old search and Finn would be very much appreciated. Any other way in which old search comes back would be good.

A beta version bot should not replace an established Search function.

I appreciate Finn to be able to try to provide some AI insights, but I do not need that for a simple search function.

Please make Finn just as an option, and not a compulsory function.

Here to add my dissatisfaction to how this feature has been rolled out. A beta LLM should not have replaced global search from the home screen, full stop. Aside from the fact that it’s far from a like-for-like replacement and it spits out false and incorrect info constantly, it is incredibly slow. Doing something as simple as trying to find a past transaction from across all my accounts now takes minutes instead of seconds.

Are Bunq still reliant on future VC investment to pay the bills? Does our subscriptions and interest on stored deposits not sustain the company? Seeing my bank chase the LLM hype so incautiously is an enormous red flag and makes me think there’s a level of desperation to be on trend here.

I also want to add, that it might be not the best idea to replace a well functioning search with a "Finn 0.1 beta" version.
Please provide a way to enable the classic search function.
Especially for stuff like "find a past transaction over all sub accounts" the search worked very well. Finn is currently not able to generate the same results. Also it takes lots of time (and probably resources too?) compared to the classic search.

Florian If you add and open the Total widget, you can still use the old search.

Also here to add my dissatisfaction with Finn replacing the basic search. It should be an extra button/widget/thing to click like you see with voice input in other apps.

Searching via the total widget is a good temporary! workaround, but it should be easier to perform a simple search.

Wieso soll ich künstliche Intelligenz nutzen!?!? Nutz doch erstmal die natürliche!

Gerade in Bankgeschäften habe ich keine Lust, daß Computer eigenständig Dinge tun.
Vor allem, wenn die Daten dann auf irgendwelchen "Clouds" angelegt werden. Als Cloud-Betreiber kann man da immer mal "mit reinschauen"

Und wenn die KI meine Bankfragen erledigt, hat der Hersteller der KI alle meine Fragen auch und die passenden Antworten.

Außerdem ist es extrem nervig, wenn man eine Frage stellt, oder einen Bug gefunden hat und dann immer erstmal diese Standardantworten kommen, die mich nur meine Zeit kosten.

Also ich wähle die KI sofort ab... bitte deinstallieren bei meinen Zugang

A couple of days ago I asked something in an old ticket. The ticket is about the credit card top-up feature which has been reported as a bug (a month ago) in this forum. I asked a couple of questions and one of these questions was how long it would take.

Then I got the answer by Finn. No employee anymore. It told me almost the same thing an employee would tell me but I was surprised.

I thought this kind of question would be answered by an employee. Now it has "taken over" the standard bot and the employee as well.

In any case this credit card top-up bug is taking way to long. After a month it is still in the testing fase while I already had two or three updates in the meantime. Ok. This is another post and has nothing to do with Finn but I was surprised by Finn integrated in the support feature.

Also see the difficulty in a setting such as Finn to be switched off or on. Bunq doesn't want to enable the old bot in the support feature probably so it would be hard to disable such a feature complete.

Thijs hello Thijs. Yes, I understand what you are saying but I don't think you understand me. What I'm saying is that the bot is replaced by Finn and that switching this feature off is highly unlikely due to the fact that is already put in the support center. Obviously Bunq has (more) future plans with Finn and switching it off is not something that will be done. I also doubt that the closed enviroment in which Finn operates as mentioned by support is active when actually dealing with support questions as the range of them exceeds just my account.

I am also very frustrated that bunq essentially forces its users to use the rather useless AI, Finn, instead of the global search. My previous attempts were rather poor. For instance, when I simply ask to find all debits from Amazon, it takes several minutes, which is unacceptable. A question like, "List all debits from gas stations," only gave me half of the results.

AI is a valuable addition in many cases. However, for such purposes, it is not suitable. Firstly, it is too slow, and secondly, language models tend to hallucinate. I suspect that the management at bunq is pushing the AI trend because it is currently hyped, and they don't want to be left behind. However, they could have at least offered it as an OPTIONAL widget instead of removing the regular search. Very poor move, dear bunq team.

Thanks to others for the workaround with the total account balance. That helps immensely.
