Hi, Can one open an Easy Savings account and also a joint Easy savings account and will both accounts have the same interest rate, 2.46% for Ireland, and will both accounts be covered by the 100k deposit guarantee?

Hi,

I cancelled the invitation for a joint account. How can i be sure the account is now just set up as a single account? I dont see anything to confirm one way or another?
Also in setting up a new payee in my Bank of Ireland account to transfer money to my new Bunq account, BOI will only allow me to input max 18 characters/digits for my IBAN number. However the Ireland Bunq IBAN number i wish to transfer to is 22 characters/digits long so I cant do it.

I see you've successfully cancelled the Joint Savings Account 🙌 You now just need to open a new Savings account, which you can find out how to do, here!

In regards to the IBAN issue, 22 characters is the standard number of characters for an Irish IBAN, so it's perhaps a good idea to reach out to BOI and have them look into why you're not able to enter the full IBAN 🌈

Can you pleas clarify whether the 100k limit for earnings interest applies to per person or per account. Can I have 2 savings accounts each with a balance of 100k and earn interest on both.
