Currently, the Stocks Beta feature is accessible to all our verified users who are residents of the Netherlands and France. To start investing in stocks, you should first open a Stocks Account. To determine if you meet all the requirements to open a Stocks Account with us, review the information below.
Who can use bunq Stocks Beta?
To use bunq Stocks Beta and open a Stocks Account, you have to meet the following requirements:
- Be 18 years old or older
- Reside in the Netherlands or France and have an active and verified Personal account
Note: Currently, we aren't able to provide stock trading services to our United States users. However, we are actively working on changing this and will notify you as soon as there are any updates or changes to this situation.
How can I open my Stocks Account?
- Go to the 📈 Stocks tab
- Tap on Get Started
- Confirm that the account is for you and accept the Brokerage and Custody Terms
- Voilà, your Stocks Account is ready 🎉
How long does it take to open my Stocks Account?
By following these simple steps, your account will be opened instantly, giving you quick access to start trading right away🏃♂️➡️
In case your account doesn’t activate immediately, our dedicated team will review your application within 24 hours, ensuring everything is set up smoothly for you. Once done we’ll let you know via notification right away!
I don’t live in the Netherlands or France - why can’t I use bunq Stocks Beta?
We currently offer bunq Stocks Beta only in the Netherlands and France due to strict regulatory requirements that vary by country. While we’d love to make this feature available to all users, we must comply with local laws and guidelines. Rest assured, we’re working hard to meet all regulations in other countries and bring bunq Stocks Beta to you as soon as possible.
