I use my bunq credit card for things like car rentals and hotel bookings. It has happened at least 4 times now that the merchant puts a hold/reservation/claim on the credit card, and doesn't claim it within the claim period of 30 days. I saw this with Hertz car rentals for example.
I already checked this with bunq support and they've responded this:
At the moment, any reserved payments that pass the merchant claim window of 7 or 30 days do not automatically get refunded to your account. You manually have to request a chargeback for the payment in question and if the claim window has passed, the funds get refunded instantly.
It's starting to become really annoying that I have to wait for 30 days and then manually request chargebacks every time. For this reason, I've now ordered a credit card from another provider.
Can bunq please consider automatic chargebacks for non-claimed transactions after 30 days? Thanks!
