Hi Larry π
You can find your account number in your IBAN. IBAN stands for International Bank Account Number and is a number attached to all EU bank accounts. You can find out more about them here.
With bunq, you can have up to 25 Bank Accounts, each with its own unique IBAN! To find your IBAN in the bunq app, follow the steps below:
- Go to the Home screen
- Select a Bank Accounts
- The IBAN will be shown in the middle of the screen. It'll resemble:
NL xx BUNQ xxxx xxxx xx
DE xx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx
FR xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx x
ES xx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx
IE xx BUNQ xxxx xxxx xxxx xx
GB xx TCCL xxxx xxxx xxxx xx
- You can also tap on the IBAN to easily save it or share it.
How to extract account number or branch code depends on the country of your IBAN:
- For NL IBANs: account number is the last 10 digits of the IBAN. Bank code is BUNQ. No branch codes.
- For DE IBANs: account number is the last 10 digits of the IBAN. Bank code is 37019000. No branch codes.
- For FR IBANs: Bank code is digit 5 to 9. Branch code is digit 10 to 14. Account number is digit 15 to 25. (Note: don't use last two digits of the IBAN).
- For ES IBANs: Bank code is digit 5 to 8. Branch code is digit 9 to 12. Account number is digit 15 to 24. (Note: don't use digits 13 and 14.)
Thanks for taking part in the community, and have a lovely day ahead π
